    that article is odd in that it doesn't describe what icann actually
    did differently this past week, makes it sound like the original root
    signing just happened.  and it somewhat overblows the near term
    advantages of dnssec.

I get the feeling that the PCH announcement that they have three
data centers, secured to the max to be used by ccTLDs registries
if these want to source out their dnssec operations, got mixed in
the story with the ICANN business as usual and thus causes all the
confusion and strange claims.
