To make a procedural point, the IETF DNSEXT WG has an open question,
which we have not yet closed, about whether to adopt the
aforementioned draft as a WG item. If you think that it is an
appropriate item for the working group, _and are willing to commit to
reviewing the drafts as they proceed through the WG's comments_, then
you are welcome to express that on the WG's list
(namedroppers at ops.ietf.org). If you are _not_ willing to commit to
doing the reviews, then saying, "I think this work ought to be
adopted," will have no effect. The DNSEXT WG has a policy that we
won't accept WG work items without reasonable evidence that the WG
will in fact review it and bring the document to some conclusion.
That means that if you are not willing to sign up to do the work, it's
the same as saying the work shouldn't be done. The WG's convention is
that we need at least 5 people to say a document is a good idea in order
to send it to the IESG. In practice, this means that having >5 people
commit to review is useful, although we are willing to adopt a
document with only 5 committed reviewers (understanding that the risk
of later rejection is high as a consequence).
