In case we want to use this time for other discussion, here's some
status on the Group B issue list:
There has been some some progress in each of the areas covered by Group
B -- most has been during the IETF.
There are currently five different rollover proposals on the table and
there is work happening to outline which of the different feature sets
in each of these proposals actually form requirements for an automated
trust anchor rollover proposal. There's also some work being put towards
generating a list of scenarios that would need to be covered during
testing/evaluation of rollover schemes.
DLV is quietly progressing along on its own path; there will likely be
more experimentation work happening here in the near future.
There is a third component of Group B issues and that has to do with
managing initial trust. As of now there has been no clear consensus on
whether this topic falls within or outside the IETFs realm of things to
do (it may, if the trust anchor rollover method chosen already provides
for this). If the IETF WG decides that this is outside its scope, this
is an area that the deployment group may choose to adopt.
